“BASURA Y TENSIÓN es un proyecto artístico y activista en torno a las causas de la violencia que rodean a algunos colectivos de mujeres y quiénes son señaladas como mujeres en en nacimiento, que todavía hoy, están menos representados socialmente. La propuesta de Toxic Lesbian fue la de hacer un trabajo a partir de ciertos objetos con los que relacionarnos durante un encuentro sobre violencia de género. El Colectivo Federica propuso tres acciones, cada una llevada a cabo durante 30 minutos por cada miembro del colectivo:
“RUBBISH AND TENSION is an activist artistic project dedicated to the causes of violence around some groups of women who are dictated to be this gender at birth, but still today, they are less respected socially. The proposal of Toxic Lesbian was to work with certain object that we could relate to in an encounter about gender violence. The group Federica created three actions, each one set out by a member of our group and each lasted 30 minutes.
– María Celestino trabajaría en directo conociendo los objetos y habiéndose relacionado con ellos anteriormente. Su marca estaría en el pecho “lo emocional”.
– María Vázquez trabajaría conociendo la naturaleza de los objetos sin haberlos visto físicamente y habiendo hecho un estudio de investigación previo sobre los mismos. Su marca estaría en la frente “lo mental”.
– Alba Soto trabajaría sin ningún tipo de conocimiento, jugando exclusivamente con la sorpresa y el descubrimiento en escena. Su marca estaría en los pies “lo impulsivo”.-
– María Celestino would work with the objects getting to know them live, in from of the audience. She had related to them previously. Her mark was on her chest “the emotional”
– María Vázquez would work exploring the nature of the object. She hadn’t seen the actual objects previously but she had done a thorough investigation about them. Her mark was on her forehead “the intellectual”.
– Alba Soto would work without any type of knowledge about the object, playing with the unexpected discovering them on the scene. Her mark would be on her feet “the impulsive”.
